Marilyn Mae Bush, age 89, passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021. She was born in Lansing, MI on September 21, 1931, the daughter of the late Elmer and Doris (Smith) Coppins. Over the years, she was employed at various companies including Knapp's Department Store, Michigan National Bank, Wolverton Inc, and several others. For many years, she also volunteered at the Board of Elections in Delta Township. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, ceramics, gardening, and canning. Marilyn especially enjoyed baking over the Holidays. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, they brought great joy to her life. She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Vernon R Bush. Surviving are her children, Michael (Barbara) Bush and Laurie Wilson; grandchildren, Adam (Alina Saiakhova) Bush and Richard Wilson; step-granddaughter, Jennifer (Bryan Cano) Rowland; great-grandchild, Richard Wilson and step-great-grandchild, Abigail Cano; brother, Gerald Coppins. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021 at 12 pm at the Palmer, Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Delta Chapel. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Monday starting at 10:30 am just prior to the service. Interment will follow at North Eagle Cemetery.
