Obituary for Mr. Marvin Loniel Stokes
Stokes – Marvin Loniel Stokes, age 71, of Bryceville, Florida went home to be with the Lord on August 11, 2021 at St. Vincent's Medical Center Riverside. He was born February 3, 1950 in Folkston, Georgia to the late Loniel J. Stokes and Julia Higginbotham Stokes. Marvin was a lifelong resident of Bryceville, Florida and a faithful member of Brandy Branch Baptist Church. Marvin was a rancher and farmer at heart. He loved being outdoors herding cattle. Once done with work he would come inside and watch old Western shows on the TV. Marvin is preceded in death by his parents.
Marvin is survived by his loving sisters, Marilyn Stokes and Mary Jo Stokes both of Bryceville, FL
A Celebration of Marvin's Life will be held on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Brandy Branch Baptist Church with Pastor Deryle Adkison officiating. Interment will follow at Brandy Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the church. Pallbearers will be Keith Whitty, Adam Higginbotham, Bobby Jones, Morgan Stokes, Ricky Powell and Bruce Travis. Honorary Pallbearers are Maitland Dampier, Everett Pringle, Marvin White, and all the Men of the Church. In Lieu of flowers please make donations to Brandy Branch Baptist Church Building Fund.
