Phyllis Dee Haeffner Robinson was born on September 22, 1929, the oldest child of Milton and Alvina Walther Haeffner. She attended grade school in Gasconade, Missouri, and graduated from Hermann High School in 1947.

On February 14, 1948, she was married to Wilbert (Bert) Robinson in Gasconade, Missouri. Phyllis and Bert had one son, Jeffrey Robinson. For many years they owned the Robinson Hotpoint dealership in Hermann. Bert passed away on June 16, 1986.

Phyllis was a member of the Hermann United Methodist Church, where she was an active member of United Methodist Women. She organized and participated in the annual spaghetti supper and many other meals. Any time food was needed, Phyllis was there to help cook and serve. She was also an active member of the Hermann Area Hospital Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary. She was a volunteer for Hospice and for the Hermann School District. Phyllis was a member of Historic Hermann and a long-time volunteer at the museum and gift shop. She baked hundreds of cookies for fundraisers for the German School Museum. Phyllis was always ready to help when there was a need. One of the things she loved to do best was playing cards with her friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bert; a grandson, Aaron Robinson; two sisters, Karen Owens and Ardeith Wehmeyer; and a brother, Raymond Haeffner.

Visitation will be at Hermann United Methodist Church from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 19, with funeral services following visitation at 11:00. Burial will be in the Oak Haven Memorial Garden, next to her beloved Bert.

Memorials are suggested to the Hermann United Methodist Church or the Hermann Area Hospital District Auxiliary. C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
