Born in Syracuse on February 25, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Hartley and Helen Wescott. She was a graduate of the very first class of Fayetteville Manlius High School. Barbara spent most of her life raising her family and was an accountant for her husband company, Chase Mobil Glass and also worked for Onondaga County Department of Mental Health. She loved spending time with her dogs and especially spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her husband Raymond Chase. Surviving her children, Lawrence Chase, Darla (Esteban Christine) Chase, Lisa (Tom) Nemeti and Kim Groesbeck; grandchildren, Bobbi, Larry Jr., Zachary, Amy, Alyssa, Raymond Matthew, Michael, Mason, Alex, and Teyo-Kristian; several great grandchildren; brothers,-in-law, Fredrick and Charles Chase; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, October 26, from 4 to 7pm at the Newell-Fay Manlius Chapel, 8171 Cazenovia Road, Manlius. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Ann's Church on Thursday at 11am. Burial will be in Manlius Village Cemetery.
