On January 8, 1953, Deborah Denice Taylor Phipps was born to Charlie and Lorine McCloud Taylor who preceded her in death.

Deborah received her education at Groveton High School. She worked at several places until she became a dietitian at the state school until she retired. Deborah was known for her cooking, and had made many friends, family asking her to bake them a pound cake, or lemon cake. Deborah would ask her family members and friends "what are you coming up here for?" they would say "you can smell good food a mile off." We love your cooking aunt Deborah.

On August 9, 2021 Monday there was a knock at the door, saying "Sister Deborah I came for you, It's time to go live with Jesus, I have prepared a better place for you. There will be no more suffering, pain, worrying, you will be at peace, you can rest now."

Deborah leaves in God's hands: Husband: Henry Phipps Sr.; 3 Sons: J'mer Taylor (Alicia), Henry Phipps Jr. (Tanea), and Dexture Phipps; six grandchildren: Chelsea Taylor, Jaylon Taylor (Mary), Chris Taylor (Chasity), Joshua Phipps, Jordyn Phipps, Jacob Taylor, ten great grandchildren: Caleb, Chloe, Cassidy, Ace, Autumn, Austin, Jaylon Jr., Losciannika, and AnnDaysha; Sisters: Linda Taylor, Brenda B.
