Doris was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother who loved her family very deeply. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church. A lady with a huge heart for others,
Doris was always looking for ways to help others. She enjoyed shopping trips with her sister and taking care of her grandbabies. She was a true friend to all and she will always be remembered for her heart of gold.
Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Curtis Lane Evans of the home; son, Phillip Lance (Britney) Evans of Marshville, NC; grandchildren, Trenton Evans, and Dawson Evans; brothers, J.W. Horne, and Scotty (Carla) Horne both of Pageland, SC; sister, Carolyn Thomas of Indian Trail, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
