He received his education through Newark, Rahway, and East Orange school systems. Ronnie later moved to Colonia, NJ with his family where he furthered his education, graduating from Colonia High School in 1988.
Despite Ronnie's life-long battle with epilepsy he worked at Pizza Hut, volunteered at ShopRite, frequented the mall and enjoyed caring for his pets and spending time with family.
Ronnie was a comedian. From the day he was born, he enjoyed telling jokes, performing, and making people laugh, even performing at the Stress Factory in New Brunswick as well as other comedy clubs. Ronnie laughed his way into the heart of his fiance Clarissa, who he spent quality time with up until she lost her battle to illness.
Ronnie was not a stranger to anyone. He was like the Mayor of Somerville where he lived independently for many years. He was well known throughout his community where he attended and danced at the weekend car shows, befriending the shop owners and being a care-free and thoughtful person to those who crossed his path.
Ronnie was baptized in May 1992 at New Point Baptist Church in Newark, NJ. Ronnie was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ & Latter-Day Saints. He enjoyed attending church on Sundays and fellowshipping with the Elders in his free time.
Ronnie loved watching 70's sitcoms, playing Ms. Pac-Man, and taking care of his birds Ross and Diane and rabbit Cosmo. Ronnie received many awards and won many contests, most recently he won a flat screen tv.
Ronnie leaves to cherish his memories: his mother and father Denise & Jerry Preston; aunts Beverly Oliver, Arnetta Wilson and Audrey Preston; uncles Andre Moses, Mickey Preston, and Dewey Preston. He will be dearly missed by his cousins Andrea Fogg (Fred), Cleveland Moses, and Arlene Green (Jesse), and a host of family and friends that will never forget him or his humor.
He was preceded in death and resting in peace with his grandparents, Cleveland & Louise Moses, Uncles Derrie Moses and Henry L. Moses.
The funeral proceedings were entrusted to Whigham Funeral Home in Newark, NJ and were held on August 12, 2021, with interment at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, NJ.
