Brenda Joyce Ogle Higgins, 76, of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2021 at her home.

She worked in the music industry in Nashville and helped build the CCMA (Country & Christian Music Association) where she worked with both country and Christian artists. While with CCMA she helped create and organize the National CCMA Award shows and national convention. She was also an executive with Power Source magazine and HMG (Higgins Music Group) Nashville. Brenda retired in 2019 and returned to her hometown of Cleveland.

She was a member of Covenant Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Ida Sutton Ogle; brothers, Ray Ogle and Jim Ogle; and sister, Vickie Gardner.

Survivors include her husband, Gene Higgins of Cleveland; three children, Phillip (Amy) Ellis of Charleston, Tammy (Doug) Harrod of Cleveland and Jason (Tammy) Higgins of Nashville; five grandchildren, Austin and Aaron Higgins, Devin Wallace and Andrew and Katelyn Harrod; siblings, Faye Wheless of Athens, Denny Ogle, Danny (Phyllis) Ogle and Sheila (Leonard) Stinnett, all of Cleveland and Leonard (Jean) Ogle of Knoxville; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 9, 2021 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Pastors Ricky Vaughn, David Hammontree, Gary Higgins, Ray Higgins and James Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
