Lisa Courtney Williams was born in Amarillo on October 24,1978 to her mom Jo Blankenship Malone and her dad Steve Williams. Over the first few months she was almost given away multiple times to the neighbors by her big sister Brett Ann.

Although, she grew up in a family of strong card playing women, that didn't stop her dad from lovingly giving her the nickname Worm Face. She graduated in 1997 from Tascosa High School where she fell in love with photography and began capturing life's precious moments in black and white.

Lisa moved to Denton where she met the love of her life, Cory Shaw. Since he was so shy, she offered him pitcher of Shiner and that's where their story began. On their first floating trip down the river Cory captured a moment where Lisa floated through a swarm of butterflies. He knew those butterflies represented her personality. Fun, Flighty, and absolutely beautiful. Lisa had such an outgoing personality, it's funny how she was so scared to meet her future family due to the abundance of personalities yet they would all become one big happy family.

She married Cory under the stars in the poofiest wedding dress that she could find while surrounded by her family and friends. Their daughter Riley, that she always referred her to as "Bug," was her world. The three of them spent a lot of time making silly memories that they will never forget. Lisa loved to laugh a lot and will always be remembered for her kindness and charisma. She always lit up the room with her smile. She was very loyal. Although people now prefer to text, Lisa was the one to call and check on those that she loved.

On August 11, 2021 Lisa went to join her Mom Jo Blankenship Malone, her dad Steve Williams, her beloved "Poppop" Ralph, her Aunt Judy, and her sister Rita. She will be missed by all who were lucky enough to have met her. Including her handsome husband Cory and loving daughter Riley. The bond that she shared with her sisters (Brett Anne, Mandy, Ginny, Sherry, Angela and Heather, Shawnee) will carry on forever and ever and a day. And then of course, she did love and tolerated her brothers too- Chris, Eddie, Wes, and Mike. She was always a favorite of her many nieces and nephews. The happiness and memories that she left all of us with will stay with us until we can meet again.

And by the way, Riley says she's probably coming back as a giraffe, so now she can finally be tall.

A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 10:00 AM.
