George W. Killius, 72, died at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Memorial Hospital.

He was associated with the John Taylor Insurance Agency for many years prior to his retirement several years ago.

A violinist for the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Mr. Killius also taught violin.

Mr. Killius was born in Springfield, the son of Frederick and Mary Killius.

He was a member of St. Paul's Lodge No. 500 AF&AM, Springfield Consistory and the Ansar Shrine.

Survivng are his widow, Hazel I.; two sisters, Miss Clara and Miss Mae Killius, both of Boston, Mass.

Services were at the Smith Funeral Chapel.

Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
