Earl Lee Cook, Sr., 69 of Omar, WV passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021 at the University of Kentucky Hospital, Lexington, KY.

Born on October 17, 1951 in Logan, WV he was the son of the late Lacey Cook and Betty (Carl) Ruggles.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years: Flossie Mae (Johnson) Cook; his daughter: Christina Dawn (Cook) Whitt; his son: Andrew Edward (Sharon) Cook, brothers: Charles "Freight Train" Moore and Jim "Sandman" Moore; sisters: Roberta Moore, and Margorie Myrtle Moore.

Those left to love and cherish his memories are his loving girlfriend: Donna (Hughes) Trent; 2 sons: Earl Lee Cook, Jr, and Michael Hughes; 2 granddaughters: Kalen (Todd) Cantrell, and Kirsten Hughes; 5 grandsons: Michael (Angela) Ward, Noah (Breanna) Cook, Dustin Earl Whitt, Preston Hughes, and Brantley Hughes; 5 great grandchildren; 3 brothers: Danny (Ruthie) Moore, Carl "Stroker" Yowler, Casey "Edge" Ruggles; 1 sister: Shirley Diana (Charlie) Ruggles. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Friday, August 13, 2021 from 12:00 till 1:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, where funeral services will commence at 1:00 pm with the Rev. Gary Browning officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, WV.

Earl will be carried to his resting place by pallbearers: Earl Cook, Jr., Noah Cook, Todd Cantrell, Michael Ward, Dustin Whitt, and Sherman Kirk. Honorary pallbearers are: Billy and Robbie Ruggles, Carl and Casey Yowler.

He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
