He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Margaret James Wright, son Dennis (Cliff) Wright of San Antonio, TX, son-in-law Jeffrey Fagan of Woodbine, MD, brother William (Dianne) Wright of Hendersonville, TN, sister Marianne Jones of Huntsville, AL, sister Jan Wright of Springfield, TN, stepdaughters: Teresa (Thomas) Sims of Madison, TN, Sandra (James) Couch of Gallatin, TN, and Donna Register of Ruffin SC; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Dennis attended Goodlettsville High School, David Lipscomb University and Cumberland School of Law where he received his law degree in 1956. He went on to serve two years in the United States Army before practicing law in Madison, TN for over 50 years.
Dennis loved his church and was a long-time member of Madison Church of Christ. He was known to be a man of good humor and a master of the telling of tall tales. His family knew him also to be a master chef of scrambled eggs. He will be missed.
