Jessica Marie Morton, 25, of Parsons, died at 12:15 a.m., Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at her home. Death was unexpected.
She was born January 25, 1996, at Parsons, to Jensen and Amanda R. (Perez) Morton. She attended local school and graduated from Parsons High School in 2014. Currently she was employed at Braum's in Parsons. Earlier she worked for Residential Treatment Services of Southeast Kansas.
Jessica loved photography and enjoyed baby sitting and spending time with her friends.
Survivors include her parents, Jensen and Amanda Morton of Parsons; her children, Jack Anthony Gurnee and Lucas James Gurnee, both of Webb City, Missouri; daughter Janaya Estelle Morton of Parsons; brother, Anthony Jensen Morton of Parsons, sister, Larissa Jade Morton of Parsons; paternal grandparents, Gary Lynn Morton of Merlin, Oregon and Janis Gladys Hartman of Watsonville, California; maternal grandfather, Fransisco Jose Perez and step-grandmother, Charlotte Perez of Parsons and grandmother, Katherine Claudine Young of Newton; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The Memorial Service will be at 2 p.m., Monday, at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m., Monday until the service time.
