She was born February 1, 1945 in Baldwin, Iowa, to William E. and Ruth Maxine (Orr) Brady. She was a 1962 graduate of Maquoketa High School. After graduation, Jan lived in Anamosa, Cedar Rapids, and Baldwin.
Married Larry William Ward in 1967 in Cedar Rapids and they moved to Maquoketa in 1973. Jan had worked for the Health Department at the Jackson County Courthouse in Maquoketa for many years.
Jan was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Monmouth. She loved reading, making stained glass art, sewing with her church group, her backyard wildlife, and convertiblizing!
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Larry Ward of Maquoketa, IA; daughters, Christine (Tracy) Russell of Coralville, IA, and Anne (Ed) Mann of Columbus, OH; 1 grandson, Sam Auner; and sisters, Linda (Alan) Wood of Baldwin, IA, and Kathy Brady of Maquoketa, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Gary Brady.
