Charles Edward "Rusty" Crawford, III, 66, of Brandon, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2021, at Merit Health River Oaks in Flowood.
Rusty was born December 10, 1954, in Indianola to Charles Edward Crawford, Jr. and Delma Karen Smithhart Crawford. He graduated from Indianola Academy in 1972 and attended Mississippi Delta Junior College. Rusty farmed and worked for the Federal Compress in Inverness for many years prior to his retirement. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Belzoni.
Rusty was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Keith Crawford.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kay Carson Crawford of Brandon; three children, Heather Crawford Eldridge (Billy), Charles Errington Crawford (Lauryn), and Edward Carson Crawford; brother, Brian Crawford; sister Adrian Crawford McKinley; and seven grandchildren, Patrick Spiars, Avery Eldridge, Emily Eldridge, Ross Eldridge, Kinsley Crawford, Annie Crawford, and another baby Crawford due in January 2022.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Belzoni Cemetery with Rev. Richard Wiman officiating. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
