Celestine Delois ("Mama Sis") Sims

Mrs. Celestine Wimberly Sims was born October 22, 1935, to the late Clarence and Johnie Wimberly. She gained her heavenly wings on August 10, 2021, at her home. She was a native of Crossett and a graduate of the T. W. Daniels Class of 1954.

She was of the Baptist faith and a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. She married Andrew Sims, and to this union, two children were born. Mrs. Celestine worked as a Bag Tender at Chase Bag in Monticello, AR until her retirement. She enjoyed her time with family, and she especially loved her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers; Clarence Wimberly, Jr., Curtis Wimberly, and Charles Wimberly, and one great-grandson, Jason Sims, Jr.

Wonderful memories are cherished by her children, Ricky Sims (Marva) and Michael Sims (Rose) both of Crossett, AR, five grandchildren, Colon Sims (Patrece) of Crossett, AR, Wendy Sims Simon (Corey) of McKinney, TX, Andre Sims (Danielle), Jason Sims, Sr. (Candice), and Victor Sims (Racheal) all of Conway, AR, twelve great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, a special niece Vickie Wimberly of Crossett, AR, one niece, two nephews, and host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at the Westview Cemetery in Crossett, AR.

Burial will follow in the Westview Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR
