Born in Pelzer, she was a daughter of the late Ray Hubert and Mary Margaret Carter Darby. She was formerly employed with Gerber Children's Wear.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughter, Joanie May Cothran of the home; sister, Darlene Canup (Russell) of Pelzer; brothers, Eddie Darby (Brigitte), Dale Darby (Stacy), Darren Darby (Angela) all of Pelzer; and faithful pets, Piper and Molly.
Burial at Pine Lawn Cemetery.
