Jerry Joe Clark, age 92, of Franklin United Methodist Community, Otterbein Senior Life, Jerry was born January 13, 1929, Richmond, Indiana to Josiah M. and Helen May (Hancher Bundy) Clark.
Jerry Joe married Sherral Sherrets, Springfield Illinois, September 4, 1960. Jerry is a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Franklin, Indiana, St. Paul's Lodge #500 AF & AM, Springfield Consistory, Abraham Lincoln High Twelve, Gideons International, and a life member of Full Gospel Businessman. Jerry has been a member of the Boy Scouts of American since 1941, earned his Eagle Scout Badge, was an Order of the Arrow Vigil member, and was selected as a Silver Beaver. Jerry was the Ranger at Boy Scout Camp Illinek, Lake Springfield, Illinois. He is a former Scouting Coordinator for United Methodist Men, Central IL Conference. Jerry graduated from Bradley University with a B.S. in Electrical Technology. He was a Journeyman Wireman and a member of IBEW Local 193. Jerry retired from the University of Illinois, Springfield in 2000. He was a US Navy Veteran and a member of American Legion Posts 759, Chatham, IL and Post 205, Franklin, IN.

Jerry is survived by his wife Sherral, daughter Deanna (Bill); daughter-in-love Annette (Buck) Dorch, grandchildren Audrey, Christopher, Sam, Allison, & Elizabeth, brother-in-love H.D. "Bud" (Linda) Sherrets, several nieces and nephews , Clark and Bundy cousins.

Jerry was preceded in death by parents Josiah "Joe" M. and Helen (Bundy) Clark; son Jeffrey Joe Clark; sister Patricia Jane Clark Walker Kohorst.

Celebration of Life Service is schedule at Grace United Methodist Church, Franklin, Indiana on Saturday, August 21 at 11 am. On September 4 at 11 am, his ashes will be scattered at Boy Scout Camp Illinek in Springfield, Illinois.

In lieu of flowers memorials in Jerry's name may be made to the Abe Lincoln Council BSA, Springfield, Illinois at www.alincolnbsa.org or Gideons International at www.gideons.org or Grace United Methodist Church, Franklin, Indiana or Otterbein Senior Living Community, Franklin, Indiana.
