A private memorial service for Jimmy Lewis Maxwell, 82 of Cairo was held at 10:30 am, Friday, August 13, 2021 at Greenwood Cemetery. Rev. Greg Finn and Rev. Rodney Sewell officiated. Mr. Maxwell passed away August 10, 2021 at his residence.

Born August 11, 1938 in Grady County, he was the son of the late John Emory Maxwell and Edna Earl Lewis Maxwell.

He was married to Jacqueline Spence Maxwell, who survives.

He graduated from Cairo High School in 1956 and was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving from 1956 to 1961. One of Jimmy's greatest joys in life was his family.

Other survivors include his daughters, Donna Stuckey and husband Eddie of Cairo and Theresa Wolfenbarger of Cairo; grandchildren, James Stuckey and wife Austin of Bainbridge, Lorrie Asbell and husband Tracy of Cairo, Stephanie Carlile and husband Cody of Woodstock, Sasha Wolfenbarger and Gavin Wolfenbarger, both of Cobb County; great-grandchildren, Mason Stuckey, Waylon Asbell, Walker Stuckey, Addison Stuckey and Matthew Carlile; brother, Arthur Maxwell of Reno and brother-in-law, Kenneth Gale of Reno.

He was preceded in death by sister, Shirley Gale.
