He was raised, educated and spent his entire life in the Wallace community. He retired from Harrison Steel Castings in Attica, where he worked in the shipping department. He loved to fish, coon hunt, hunt Ginseng and do garden work.
Surviving, besides his wife, are: a daughter, Diana Lynn Bair, Crawfordsville; and three sisters, Mae Cork, Crawfordsville; Idell Ellingwood, Waynetown and Geneva Ellingwood, Crawfordsville. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Maus Funeral Home, Hillsboro, with Harold Holt officiating. Burial was in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family." – Fountain County Neighbor, August 27, 1996
