Merl N. "Buck" Warner of Seneca Rocks, WV, passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He was born on Hunting Ground in Cherry Grove, WV, the son of the late Charlie and Mary Warner.

Buck attended Pendleton County Schools and church services at North Fork Baptist Church and Pleasant View United Methodist Church. He retired from Freeman Distributing in Alexandria, VA. Buck worked as a farmer and cattleman, and was a former Pendleton County Sheriff. He was a member of the Pendleton County Farm Bureau and a former member of the Spruce Knob Seneca Rocks Telephone Company Board of Directors and the Pendleton Nursing Home Board of Directors.

In addition to his wife Carolyn, Mr. Warner is survived by: a sister, Priscilla Mullenax (Brooks) of Circleville, WV; and a brother, Paul (Pauline) of Cleveland, OH. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 5 brothers: Arlie, Roy, Ray, Dewitt, Charlie; and 2 sisters, Mabel Bennett Sponaugle and Ollie Johnston.

Mr. Warner's family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, 6-8 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. Funeral services will be on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Mark McAllister officiating. Interment will be in North Fork Memorial Cemetery, Riverton, WV.
