Poet, Educator, Founder of the Philosophy Aesthetic Realism. His poem "Hot Afternoons Have Been in Montana" won The Nation poetry prize in 1925. In this great concept, "Poetry, like life, states that the very self of a thing is its relations, its having-to-do-with other things," the poem was a precursor to Aesthetic Realism itself, founded in 1941.
