Harvey William Brinker, 84, died Nov. 22, 2007 at his home. He was born in Baltimore and lived in Sebastian for 25 years, coming from Dania.

He was a retired police officer and worked for 20 years with the Baltimore County Police Department. He also worked as a security manager for Visa in Fort Lauderdale and Miami.

He served in the Navy during World War II.

He was a member of Sebastian Masonic Lodge 232, F& AM, the York Rite, the Eastern Star Chapter 204, American Legion Post 189 and Moose Lodge 1767.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Ellen Brinker of Sebastian; daughter, Ellen Albo of Woodville, GA; brother, Herbert Brinker of Grand Bay, AL; sister, Elaine Beiderman of Chatham, NJ; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Memorials may be made to VNA & Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.

SERVICES: Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 26 at the Strunk Funeral Home. A Masonic service will be at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Visitation also will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 27 at the Strunk Funeral Home followed by funeral services in the funeral home chapel with Chaplain Richard Flick officiating. Burial will follow in Sebastian Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Sebastian Area Veterans Honor Guard.
