m1. 21 Jan 1722 to Rosilla Coombs, who was half French. She died March 8, 1737 leaving seven children;
m.27 Jul 1738 to Phoebe Blackman
He was a prominent citizen, serving as
selectman in 1745, 1752, 1753, 1758 and 1759 and as assessor in 1745, 1758 and 1759. He died March 18, 1771, and his headstone still remains standing in the old burying ground in
Hardwick.
