Robert Oscar Motley of Norman, age 75, passed away on August 10, 2021. He was born to Robert Cassler Motley and Agnes Irene Motley (formerly Rasure) on April 6, 1946 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. After high school, Robert heard his nation's call and proudly enlisted in the United States Army. He was deployed to Korea for one year, and served in the Army for a total of three years. He then joined the Army National Guard, serving for seven years. Mr. Motley was a Mechanic for the State of Oklahoma, and he worked in the Oklahoma City Motor Pool for over 20 years.

It has been said that if it had moving parts, Robert Motley could fix it. Robert loved to work on cars, trucks, and motorcycles. He was an incredibly skilled mechanic, and he was always tinkering around on some kind of machinery - he almost always had a project or two going on. He enjoyed racing dirt track in the modified division. Every year, Robert looked forward to baseball season, and he especially loved watching the Atlanta Braves play ball.

The most important thing in Robert's life by far was his family. Robert and his brother, Jesse, were very close and in fact, the entire Motley family were a tight-knit bunch, even living in the same neighborhood together for many years. He will be deeply and forever missed by his loving family and the host of friends he made throughout his life.

Robert was preceded in death by his mom and dad, his brother, Jesse, as well as his daughter, Robin.
