Two men were killed and three others injured about 5 pm. yesterday in a three-car collision a half mile west of Washington St. on Highway 111 here The dead are William H. Wilson, 27, 44-751 Cabnllo Ave., Palm Desert and Albert Newton Purkey, 70, 31-542 Sierra del Sol St., Thousand Palms. The injured are Clark Main, 38, William C. Ramirez, 28. and Richard Castanon, 22, all of Coachella Ramirez was treated and released at Valley Memor-' ial Hospital in Indio and Caslanon and Main were listed in good condition at the hospital this morning. Wilson was reportedly westbound on Highway HI, when his vehicle crossed over the divider and smashed into an east-bound car driven by Purkey. Ramirez was east - hound and crashed into the rear of Turkey's vehicle, CHD authorities said. The Wilson and Purkey vehicles were demolished while the Ramirez vehicle was severely damaged, the CHD said. Pur key was killed instantly and Wilson died later at the hospital.
