Lorrie Lynn (Fisher) Oliver was born March 26th, 1963 in Charles City, Iowa to Roger and Valeria (Bahlman) Dyre. She attended primary school in Floyd, Iowa and graduated from Charles City High School in 1981. During her high school years, she was a waitress at the prestigious Club Iowa in Charles City where she became one of the patrons favorite waitresses. Roger and Val were later divorced in 1980 and Val married Roy Fisher. After her graduation, she moved to Arkansas to be with her mom and dad, Roy and Val Fisher. She took a job at Shoney's as a waitress. She carried that "waitress" part of her everywhere we went. We used to give her a hard time because she always took all our plates, glasses and silverware and stacked them for a waitress to pick up. She worked at Fasco for a time and then for Kellum and Bates, where she filled the vending machines at Arkansas Nuclear One. She was employed at the Hanes plant in Clarksville when she passed away. On October 16th, 1993, she married Audie Oliver in a beautiful wedding and reception at her parent's home and what a gorgeous bride she was! Her Dad was so proud to walk her out onto the lawn, while her Mom cried – her baby was getting married! On September 17th, 1997, Audie and Lorrie welcomed their beautiful daughter, Jordan Rochelle, into their lives. She became the heart and soul of her mother and as she grew up, their bond became even tighter every day. Lorrie was full of life, fun loving and adventuresome. She loved doing crazy things, even if she was the one being made fun of. She loved going out to eat and loved trying out the sometimes, very weird drinks. She always had to send us a picture of the latest one she was trying. She came to work for her Dad, doing the filing and answering the phone, but she was happiest when her Dad would take her along to fix a customer's machine. She had such a good time climbing down into a machine and getting into all the grease and muck. She came out nearly every weekend to help her brothers mow Mom's yards after her Dad passed away. Her favorite tractor was her Dad's Kubota – she could run it just like he did and she was the only one who knew how to put the blade on it and take it off. With her hair blowing in the wind, she kept that tractor at full power all the time! She was just so much fun to be around. We had taken all the kids to Nashville one year and stayed at the Opryland Hotel and from that point on, Lorrie just loved going there. I'm so glad we were able to make one more trip there in December of 2019 – she always said she could hardly wait to go there again. Having her as a daughter was one of her mother's greatest blessings and as a sister, she had two devoted brothers who loved her. She was a fantastic person to be around, a wonderful wife, devoted mother and a friend to so many. She always came out to help her mother get ready for the holidays; decorating the house, wrapping gifts and staying after family get-togethers to clean up so "Mom can go sit and relax", she said. She gave so much of herself to others and became a "second" mother to several of Jordan's friends, including her niece, Searra. Lorrie was a huge animal lover, especially dogs. She never saw a dog or a puppy lost, alone or abandoned that she didn't pick up and take home. They were her "babies" and she loved them all. All of them will miss her and the attention she gave them. Atlas, Buddy, Piper, Harley and Sahara are the names of only a handful of pets she accumulated and cared for over the years. Lorrie passed from this life on August 9, 2021 at the age of 58 from anaplastic thyroid cancer. She was preceded in death by her dad, Roy Fisher in 2010, her father-in-law, Ray Oliver in 2017, and her step-sister, Stacie Jensen in 2019. She is survived by her husband, Audie, her precious daughter, Jordan, her two brothers, Tim (Kim) Dyre and Richard Fisher, her step-sister, Sheri (Greg) Christenson and her mother, Val Fisher and numerous nieces and nephews. No-one can know all the pain we hold in our hearts with her loss. This puzzle that was such a part of our lives has lost one of the biggest pieces and our puzzle will never be whole again. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Cornwell Funeral Home in Dardanelle with a visitation there Friday evening from 5:00P.M. – 7:00 P.M. Her funeral will be Saturday at 2:00P.M. at St. John's Lutheran Church with Pastor Wm. Ringer officiating. We request that everyone wear a mask. Burial will take place at Rest Haven following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any "no kill" shelter in the area. Pall-bearers will be: Tim Dyre, Richard Fisher, Nick Robertson, Greg Christenson, John Carpenter and Michael Nuckols.
