It is with great heartbreak that we announce the passing of our beloved son, Drew Thomas Smith, 33, from an accidental shooting July 27, 2021. He was born at NorthBay Medical Center on May 2, 1988.He was a bright light in a dark world, always a smile and willingness to help everyone. His heart was big and his love great. He loved his family and friends immensely, especially his beautiful daughter. As a young boy he raced BMX bikes, winning several races. He enjoyed working on cars, buying and selling them which he started as a teenager. He loved children and animals. He was fearless at times, sweet and loving other times.He is survived by his parents, Donnie Smith and Steve Metcalf; brothers, Taylor Smith and Rob Metcalf, and his young daughter, Isabella. He also leaves behind a niece, a nephew, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He is predeceased by grandparents, Pete and Lillian Smith and Norman Metcalf.Viewing for friends is from 5 to 8 p.m. at Vaca Hills Chapel August 15. Funeral will be private at Vacaville Elmira Cemetery. We would like to thank everyone who helped us through this very difficult time. God bless you all and keep you safe.
