Melissa was born March 31, 1968 in Richmond, VA to Kenneth Hopkins, Sr. and Paige Hopkins both of Chester, VA.
Missy was a graduate of Thomas Dale High School Chester Virginia.
Melissa was preceded in death by her grandfather, Charles Malcolm Hopkins; mother, Paige Hopkins; brother, Kenneth Hopkins, Jr.; and loving son, Joshua Hopkins.
Left to cherish her memories are her life partner, Timothy Greg Blackwell of Chester, VA; youngest son, Adam Marine and his wife Brittney Marine both of Colonial Heights; VA, two daughters, Amber Marine of Prince George, VA and Autumn Mathis of Dinwiddie ,VA; father, Kenneth Hopkins, Sr. of Chester, VA; grandmother, Connie Hopkins of Chester ,VA; sister, Karri Wade and husband Jeff Wade both of Lynchburg, VA; grandchildren, Joshua Gary Hopkins, Madison Sunshine Willis, Brayden Mathis Marine, Karson Jayce Marine, Skylar Neveah Humphries; and numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
