Rebecca Ann Brooks Wallace, age 89, passed away Tuesday August 10, 2021 at White Oak Manor in Kings Mountain. Born in Cleveland County on June 2, 1932 she was the daughter of the late John B. and Vertie Greene Brooks. Becky graduated from Gardner Webb University where she majored in Special Education. She went on to teach the children of Cleveland County Schools at North Shelby. She was a lifelong member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church, loved to paint, sew, and spend time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ezra Reeves "Chick" Wallace, one brother Carl "Bud" Brooks, and a granddaughter Caitlin Elizabeth Turner.

Becky is survived by her three daughters, Debra Neill and husband Jim, Lynn Turner and husband Jonathan and Karen Wallace, all of Boiling Springs. Four sisters, Polly McDaniel, Cat Rogers, Carolyn Hunt and husband Bob, and Lib Jones. Five grandchildren, Leigh Ann Strickland, Emma Denise Greene, Austin Turner, Marissa Turner, and Nathan Turner. In addition, she is survived by her great-grandchildren, Payton, Tucker, Braxton, Ava Grace, and Adalyn.

Funeral service will be held 11:00am Saturday, August 14, 2021 at the Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home & Crematory with Dr. Carroll Page officiating. Burial will follow the service in Cleveland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10am-11am.
