Garner – Edward L. Douglas "Ed", 87, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021.

Ed was born in Wayne County on October 1, 1933 to Braxton Douglas and Frances Lucille Powell.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 13th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Road, Garner. A graveside service will be 11:00 am Saturday, August 14th, at Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh.

Ed is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty H. Douglas; daughter, Kimberly D. Lane (David); grandson, Carrington Jones (Alexis); great-granddaughter, Charley; sister, Alice D. Powell; and a large and loving extended family.

In addition to his parents, Ed is preceded in death by his infant daughter, Sharon Hope Douglas; sister, Eunice; and brothers, J.C., Jerry and Richard.

Ed was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and sibling who loved fishing. He was a long-time Mason and Shriner and served as a past president of the Zebulon Shrine Club.
