A Private Family Funeral Service for Jimmy Riley Collins, Jr., 69, of Hilda, SC will be held two o'clock p.m., Wednesday, August 18, 2021 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston with the Reverends Eileen Gunnells and Alvin Jeffcoat officiating; burial will be in the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery. The family will visit one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday. Due to the current pandemic and the CDC rules; masks are required. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Ferris Bolen, Dennis Collins, Jr., Adam Fields, Amos Fields, Vern Fields and David Rosier. Jimmy passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2021.
Born in Jeffersonville, IN, he was a son of Rose Bell Collins and the late Jimmy Riley Collins, Sr. He attended New Vision Church and retired from the Maintenance Department at SRS. Jimmy was a family-man who enjoyed spending time with all of his family. He set an excellent example for his loved ones by reading and studying his Bible and was a praying man. He would talk with anyone, he never met a stranger. Jimmy enjoyed fishing and reading.
Survivors include his wife Elizabeth "Liz" Fields Collins; his daughters Charli (Casey) Cooler of Ridgeland, Ariel (Matthew) Bolen of Dorchester; his grandson Caleb Cooler; brothers Terry L. (Gail) Collins, Dennis D. (Beth) Collins, Sr., and Mark A. Collins; a special niece Alana Rosier; his fur babies Grizzy and Stormy and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a sister Linda Collins and a brother Randall Gene Collins.
