Marian Ann Powers Scott, 86, of Anderson, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at her residence with her loving family by her side.

She began her journey on December 10, 1934 in Salinas, California to the late Fred and Ann (Cummings) Pepper. She attended grade school at Alisah Elementary and High School at Salinas, California. Marian had one half-brother, Ron and half-sisters, Norma, Gail, Judy and Susie. She married Harry Powers and to this union she had five children, Diana, Stuart, Matthew, Cary and Laura. Marian worked as a clerk, dispatcher for the Salinas Police department and later transferred to the Monterey County 911 System as a dispatcher. She married Paul Scott in Carson City, Nevada on November 29, 1968. Marian and Paul moved to the farm near Anderson, Missouri in 1995. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, crafting, bowling and taught bowling to others. She bowled in several leagues and one year won State Champion in California. Marian was also an avid reader and outstanding cook. She always cherished time spent with her family. Marian was a member of the Church of Christ in Noel, Missouri.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 16, 2021 at 10:00 am at the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home. Pastor Dick Lett will officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:00 am until service time. Burial will follow the service in the Cummings Cemetery in Tiff City, Missouri.
