John David Arnold, age 72, of Austinville, VA passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021.
He was born September 8, 1948 in Corrine, WV, the son of the late John Jacob and Mary Ellen Walk Arnold.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Darrell Arnold and Larry Arnold, one sister and brother-in-law, Darlene and Charles Viars.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Helen Ann Umberger Arnold; daughter, Marcy and Buddy Blair of Wytheville; son, David "Dee" and Elizabeth Arnold of Wytheville. Brothers; Mike & Kathy Arnold and Gus Arnold, all of Wytheville.; grandchildren, Brittany and Bradley Dalton, Deanna Arnold, Hallie Blair, Weston Blair; great-grandchildren, Bryar Dalton, Emmerson Aldred, Hunter Dalton, Garrett Dalton; sisters-in-law, Irene Rupe, Doris Worrell, Patty Umberger and Debbie Arnold; special friends, Eugene Sheffey, Tucker Colon, Gummy Bear Nelson and Elizabeth Frazier. Many extended family and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Reese Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Tunnell officiating.
Burial will be held Friday, August 13, 2021 at Mt. Zion UMC Cemetery.
