Geneva G. Holmes, 82, of Sioux City died Wednesday, July 30, 1997 at a nursing home in Whiting, IA.
Private family graveside services will be Saturday in Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Roger D. Graf officiating. Nelson-Berger Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Holmes was born September 13, 1914, in Blencoe, IA, the daughter of Charles and Maude (Stevens) Swesey. She married Oliver W. Holmes on February 27, 1932, in Blencoe. He died February 14, 1985.
She was a member of Morningside Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Sandra and Richard Weaver of Sioux City; 3 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter; 2 brothers; and 4 sisters.
