Mrs. Jean Allen Paterson Reed, age 79, passed away Tuesday August 10, 2021 at her residence.
A graveside service will be 11:30am Monday at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Reed was born in Alexandria, Virginia to the late Robert and Agnes Penman Paterson. She was a graduate of James Madison College where she received her bachelor's degree and was a member of the Zeta sorority. She became an elementary school teacher, in the late 60's and early 70's, for Guilford County. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and enjoyed art and working on different crafts.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Marcus Luther Reed and two sisters.
She is survived by her children Nancy Jean Reed and John Marcus Reed; sister Nancy Russell; grandson Coltan Lee Sykes; sister-in-law Rose Marie Reed.
