Marvin P. Knight Jr. 78, of Rock Spring, Ga. passed away August 10, 2021. Marvin and his wife Carolyn Knight are long time members; and he served as a deacon at Faith Baptist Tabernacle in Flintstone, Ga.
He is preceded in death by his parents Marvin Sr. & Lola Knight; sisters Linda Skinner, Gail Morgan, and Alice Adams; all from Rossville Ga.
Marvin is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Carolyn Simmons Knight; children Eugene (Charlene) Knight, of Ringgold Ga., and Bruce (Jackie) Knight of Rock Spring Ga.; 9 grandkids; 10 great-grandkids; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday August 13, 2021 in the parlor of the funeral home, and before the service on Saturday. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday August 14, 2021 in the Ft. Oglethorpe Chapel of Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Brandon officiating. A burial will follow at Lafayette Memory Gardens.
