Jackie "JD" Smith of Tiptonville, TN passed away Thursday June 17, 2021 at his residence.
JD was born on February 14, 1951 in Fayetteville, TN to the late Cletus and Frances Brannon Smith. He was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast. He loved fishing and old cars. He was a proud southern Baptist. JD proudly served our country with the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War.
Funeral services will be Monday, June 21, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Dyersburg Funeral Home's Tiptonville Chapel conducted by Bro. Chuck Graham. Interment will be in Lake Memorial Gardens in Tiptonville.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Smith of Tiptonville; his son, Patrick Smith (Abigail) of Longmont, CO; his daughter, Kim Williams (Travis) of Tiptonville; his brother, Michael Smith (Tina) of Gallatin, TN; two sisters, Peggy Abbott and Vickie Baker both of Hendersonville, TN; and one grandchild, Chase Williams.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Utley; one brother, Bro. Paul "Butch" White; and one sister, Katherine "Kitty" Yopp.
Honoring JD as pallbearers will be Drew Cook, Patrick Smith, Chris Smith, Brannon Smith, Bill Rogers, Billy Blakley, Nelson Northern and Troy Ferrell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Hatley and Ronnie Hays.
