She was born in Alvorton, Ohio on January 24, 1921, the daughter of the late Charles and Ocie (Brown) Hauter.
Lucy worked at JC Penney and Goodyear in Fort Wayne, but took the greatest pride in being a homemaker. She loved baking pies and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children: Sharon Cripe, Upland; Barbara (Dick) Haggard, Eaton; and Janie (Bill) Norton, Upland; six grandchildren: Tim Jones, Jr., Ninevah; Teri (Corey) Jones, Upland; Amy (Thad) Haney, Winchester; Jenny (Matthew) Norton-Schamber, Upland; Jim (Carrie) Norton, Gas City; and Mike White, Warren; eight great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones-Smith Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 259 N. Main St., Upland, where a visitation will be held from 1-3 pm, Wednesday, August 18, 2021. The funeral service will be at 3:00 pm, with Pastor Gary Hall officiating.
Burial will follow in Jefferson Cemetery, Upland.
