Obituary for Raul JR Martinez III
Raul JR Martinez III entered into eternal rest at the age of 57 on the 27th of July 2021. JR was born in San Antonio Texas on the 16th of April 1964 to Julia R. Lopez and Raul Martinez, Jr. He is a Judson High School graduate of 1983. Raul was an employee of Republic Beverage Company for many years.
JR was always ready to help anyone in need, especially family. He liked fishing and hunting but spent most of his free with family and close friends. He was known for his quick smile and his kind and compassion spirit.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Julia and Pedro Estrada, Jr., his father and stepmother Raul and Bertha Martinez, daughter Mariah Cardoway and husband Justin Contreras, granddaughter Rhylee Victoria Contreras, his brothers and sisters Daniel L. Martinez, Denise Estrada, Nanette Gore, Peter Troy and Tammy Estrada, his nieces and nephews Elaine Marie Martinez (deceased), Daniel Martinez, Jr., Anakin Lee Martinez, Diamond Martinez and many extended family members.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 13, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. A 10:00 a.m., funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. Interment to follow in Mission Retama Cemetery.
The family requests that face masks be worn at all times. Due to Covid-19, there will be no reception.
