Newton – Jean Heavner Thomas, 88 of Newton went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 16, 2021 at her son's home in Texas.
Born on October 27, 1932 in Lincoln County, NC. Jean was the daughter of the late Ernest C. and Daisy P. Jenkins Heavner. brother, John Heavner.
She is survived by her son Mark Thomas and wife, Vicki and a grandson, Zach Thomas.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Beth Eden Lutheran Church at 400 N Main Ave, Newton, NC 28658 on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Marcus Ollis officiating. Burial will follow the service at Catawba Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the church.
