Jerry Alva Roberts age 73, of Mena, Arkansas passed away Saturday, August 5, 2017 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.

Jerry was born in Wickes, Arkansas on May 14, 1944 to the late Mark Roberts and the late Florence Sullivan Roberts. He was married to Edith Golden Roberts. Jerry raise chickens and enjoyed his livestock and watching them grow. He was an avid hunter who enjoyed being outdoors. He was a hard worker and could fix anything, as he was mechanically inclined. Most of all he loved his family and will be missed. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to all.

He is survived by:

Wife: Edith Faye Roberts "Jo" of Mena, Arkansas

Sons: Jerry Roy Roberts and wife Rachel of Mena, Arkansas
Michael Anderson Roberts and wife Lisa of Mena, Arkansas

Daughters: Cindy Faye Watkins of Vandervoort, Arkansas
Amy Ruth Betz and husband David of Mena, Arkansas

Fourteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren

Brothers: Alton Roberts and wife Mary of Sherman, Texas
Gene Roberts of Sommerset, Ohio

Sisters: Oneta Gentry and husband O.A. of Grannis, Arkansas
Maxine Smith and husband Lehrling of Lebanon, Oregon
Lois Marie Drennan of Burleson, Texas
Ruth Maddux and husband James, and daughter Sarah of Greenwood, Arkansas

Numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Brother: Albert Roberts and a Sister: Maudie Pinkerton and Sons-in-law: Phil Watkins and Donnie Powell

Funeral service will be Wednesday 9, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Beasley Wood Chapel with Brother Brett Lee officiating. Interment will follow in the Board Camp Cemetery under the direction of the Beasley Wood Funeral Home of Mena.

General Visitation.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Cordell Roberts, Mark Roberts, Mike Henderson, Jackson Watkins, Gabriel Betz and David Betz.

Honorary pallbearers are Logan Roberts and Haden Roberts.
