SCOTT WADE HAWKINS
January 7, 1969 - August 10, 2021
Scott Wade Hawkins, 52 of Mobile, Alabama, passed away August 10, 2021, at Providence Hospital in Mobile. Scott was born on January 7, 1969, son of John and Brenda (Harrell) Hawkins in St Joseph County, Indiana and grew up in Buchanan, Michigan. He graduated from Buchanan High School in 1987, where he played football and baseball. He attended Ivy Tech and graduated with an Associates degree in electronics.

On October 26, 1991, Scott married Amelia Rosemary Byrum, his wife of 26 years, raising his family, working in the communications field, and living in Michigan, Florida, and then Alabama where he worked at MediaCom as a HFC Network Supervisor. Scott was a loving son, a devoted husband and dad, and a great friend to all those that knew him.

God, his family, and his friends were very important to him and were his first priority, in that order. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, camping, riding bikes, and enjoyed the outdoors in many different activities.

After the passing of his wife on March 25, 2018, family and friends became even more important in his life. Then in 2019 he met Angel Brooks, who brought something to his life that he thought was gone. If God had allowed him more time, they planned to be married as they recently announced they were engaged.

Scott is survived by mother, Brenda Hawkins; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ronald and June Byrum; daughter Carrissa Hawkins; son, Brandon Hawkins; brother, John (Laura) Hawkins; his fiancé, Angel Brooks; sister-in-law. Sandra (Craig) Best; brother-in-law, Michael (Nancy) Byrum; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Scott is preceded in death by his father, John Hawkins and wife, Amelia Hawkins.

Due to the current circumstances with COVID 19, no services are planned. Next summer the family plans to hold a memorial service for family and friends in his childhood town of Buchanan, Michigan. Date and time to be determined and announced at a later date.

The family thanks Hughes Funeral Home and Crematory of Daphne, Alabama for all their help with arrangements.
