WESTFIELD — Ryan Michael Alexander, 26, of Westfield, formerly of Mayville, passed away on Saturday, Aug, 7, 2021, at UPMC Hamot Hospital in Erie, Pa.

He was born March 26, 1994, in Jamestown, N.Y., the son of Ronald Alexander and Kristine A Keller Spano.

Ryan had attended Chautauqua Lake High School. He then worked for Bestway Disposal in Westfield, N.Y., and later for Dunkirk Specialty Steel in Dunkirk, N.Y. He was an active member of the U.S. Army Reserves for which he was very proud of.

Ryan loved being in the outdoors camping, hiking, and practicing survival skills. He enjoyed whittling wood and wood carving and was an excellent marksman with his guns, bow and crossbow.

He is survived by his parents, Ronald Alexander of Westfield and Kristine A. Keller Spano of Busti; two brothers: Benjamin Alexander of Jamestown, and Andrew Alexander of Westfield; two sisters: Samantha Boutelle and Jessica Sheldon, both of Jamestown; his paternal grand parents, Roberta Rosage of Mayville and Ronald Alexander of Westfield; his maternal grandparents; Joyce and Charles Roof of Busti; paternal uncles: Mike (Julie) Harle of Mayville, and Tom Alexander of Westfield; paternal aunts Shannon (Sam Zafuto) Harle of Mayville, and Michele Alexander of Georgia; maternal aunts: Victoria Holland of Florida and Jennifer Cooper of Tennesse; his dog, Shadow; and several cousins.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, Aug, 18, 2021, at the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville (139 S. Erie St). Father Todd Remick will officiate. Burial will be in the Mayville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m., on Tuesday, Aug. 17, at the funeral home.
