Asheville, NC – William Lawrence Bradley, Jr, 49, passed away August 3, 2021. Brad was born on October 24, 1971 to Debbie and Lawrence Bradley in Wilson, NC. Growing up Brad enjoyed participating in competitive water ski tournaments and won many awards at the state level. From a very young age, Brad enjoyed cooking with his grandmothers and grilling with his dad and grandfather. This developed into being his greatest joy as grill-master for many family events as well as catering, and in the kitchen at The Social in Asheville. For many years he has worked for Cory and Christen Short, loving them and the staff as family. Brad loved his dog Java, would do anything for a friend, or family member and had a strong work ethic – loyal beyond belief. Most of all his greatest pride and joy was in his children.

Brad is survived by his children William Ligon and Mary River Bradley and his former wife and best friend, Rachel Ligon Bradley of Asheville, his parents Debbie and Lawrence Bradley Sr. of Wilson, his sister Heather Moore (Todd), nieces Marlee and Peyton Moore, and nephew Bryson Moore of Greensboro, his aunts Pat Perry (Ricky) of Middlesex NC, and Gayle Weiss (Mike) of Boulder CO, along with many cousins he loved dearly.

A memorial service will be held on August 28, 2021 at 2:00 in the courtyard of First United Methodist Church, Wilson NC. There will be a service announced later in Asheville, NC.
