"Dora Llewelyn Cowan, 83, south-central Kansas City, died Nov. 27, 1994, at the home. Services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Mount Moriah & Freeman Chapel; burial in East Slope Cemetery. Mrs. Cowan was born in Cape Fair, Mo., and moved to this area more than 70 years ago. She was a supervisor for the Social Security Administration before she retired. She was a member of International PEN. She was a 60-year member of the Red Bridge Christian Church. Survivors include two sons, Michael Cowan of Santa Cruz, Calif., and Dennis Cowan of Redding, Calif.; a sister, Edna Smith of Stockton, Mo.; and four grandchildren."
