He was the fifth of six children born to Frank Earl and Helen Cardon Lamb . He grew up on his family farm in Hyde Park, UT. At 19, he served as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in South Africa from 1962-1964. After returning, he married his childhood sweetheart, Tonda Harris, on July 23, 1965 in the Logan Temple. He served three years in the U.S. Army in Heidelberg, Germany. After completing earning his Bachelor's degree at Weber State University, they moved to Long Island, NY to work for the IRS and then to Stone & Webster Engineering Corporation as a construction accountant. He moved to Connecticut to work for Stone & Webster, and Ensign Bickford. They moved to Utah in 1998 to be closer to two of their sons and their families. They served church missions worldwide and volunteered at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, UT. From 2009-2010, they were senior missionaries for their church in Morristown, NJ, and served as administrators in the mission office. After completing their mission they bought a home in Cape Cod, Sandwich. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Tonda; three sons, Jason and his wife Megan of Buena Vista, VA and their children, Emily, Devan, Derek, Jacob, and Shawn; Kevin and his wife, Kathy of Saratoga Springs, UT and their two daughters, Hannah, and Breanna; and Daren and his wife, Tammy of Plainville, CT and their daughter, Jillian; eight grandchildren and one great grandson; and sister, Margret.
