Connie was born on October 7, 1941 to Roy and Helen (Percy) Callison in Madison County, Iowa. She grew up on the family farm and attended a one room school house a half mile west of the farm up until 9th grade. She then attended, and graduated from, Winterset High School.
Connie was a member of the Red Hat Society, Doll club, Madison County Antique Association, and the Quilters Guild. She enjoyed making porcelain dolls, collecting hard plastic Barbies, and tending to her garden. She also liked to sew and make quilts. Connie swung a mean golf club and even hit a hole in one!
Attending the state fair was a must for Connie every year. She loved to hang around attending the free concerts and looking at all of the vendors booths. It was always a guessing game to see what Connie would end up buying from the vendors at the state fair. Connie was also a 4-H leader for many years of the Scott Skylarks. Over the years, she enjoyed camping at various camping spots with her family. Most of all, Connie loved to be around the home with her family.
Connie was preceded in death by her first husband, Russell Utsler; parents, Roy and Helen Callison; brother, Ed Callison; brothers-in-law, Bob Bailey and Dick Bailey; sister-in-law, Betty Eckardt; and son-in-law, JD Wildin.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Bailey; daughters, Julie (Willie) Wilson, and Lynn (Rick Thornburg) Wildin; son, Alan (Sharray) Utsler; step-daughters, Lisa (Bill) Gregerson, and Stacy Christiansen; sister-in-law, Joanne Callison; 10 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
