Gloria 1st married & divorced from Larry Troupe with whom she had a daughter. She next married Carl Sumner.

Mrs. Gloria Lenore Sumner 72 of Keystone Heights passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020, at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville.

She was born in Summerville, Georgia on November 25, 1948, to George Washington and Effie Sue (Deering) Wofford.

Mrs. Sumner was a homemaker and a longtime resident of Keystone Heights. She was a member of Air Park Baptist Church in Starke and enjoyed teaching Sunday school. She also enjoyed cross stitching, coloring and doing word search games with children but her most cherished time was spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband of 35 years Carl Sumner and their daughter Tammy Olive and grandson Cameron Sumner.

Left behind are her children Cathy Newcomb, Lisa Mendoza, and CJ Sumner. She was loving called "Granny" by Jeff Olive, Austin Olive, Krystal King, Elvis King, Nikki King, Marcy Cornett, David Cornett, April Howel and Kristi Griffis along with thirteen additional great grandchildren. Also left behind are numerous extended family members and friends that will miss her dearly.

Graveside services for Mrs. Sumner will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 10, 2020, with Pastor Steve Conner officiating. Interment will be at the Keystone Heights Cemetery.
