Irene P. White, 89, of Stafford, VA, passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021 surrounded by her daughters holding her hand. She was known to many as, "Big MaMa".
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Irene loved fishing and quilting. She loved talking about her great grandchildren.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband, James L. White; sister, Julia Anne Washington; grandson, Jamie I. White and a great nephew, Jamil Washington.
Survivors include her daughters, Peggy L. White, Patty L. White and Pernell L. White "Cookie"; grandchildren, Jason I. White, James L. Brown and Victor R. Brown, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Jovanna White, Jailyn White, Jaquoya White, Sophie Ward, Amyra Brown, Dayshaun Brown and Dreonn Brown; her sister, Barbara Phillip; and a host of other relatives.
A viewing will be held at A.L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and one hour before the funeral service. A funeral service will be held at A.L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 11:00 am. The interment will follow at Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Fredericksburg, VA.
